Roto-Rooter in the Indianapolis area seeks an experienced service manager to lead and support its excavation team. You will oversee the branch’s excavation operations, drive profitability, and ensure safety and quality on every site.

Key duties include recruiting and developing crews, achieving monthly and annual sales quotas, coordinating with management, providing field sales and training, and delivering hands-on coaching while maintaining OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• 3–5 years of sales management experience.
• Service industry experience strongly desired.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• P&L management experience preferred but not required.
• Self-starter who is organized and thorough with attention to detail and thrives in a bustling environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the branch’s excavation department and ensure it is operating profitably and safely.
• Ensure monthly and annual sales quotas are achieved.
• Recruit and maintain excavation teams in collaboration with the hiring manager.
• Manage time, material, equipment, and technician resources for excavation sales and service teams.
• Monitor teams to ensure they meet performance standards.
• Provide ongoing field sales and education training.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support as needed.
• Coordinate with general manager and office management team.
• Accompany teams to customer sites to observe performance.
• Ensure adherence to strict company and OSHA safety requirements.
• Coach and develop sales & service team using hands-on training methods.
