Job summary

Ruston Paving Co., Inc is seeking an Excavation and Grading Equipment Operator to join our team in North Carolina. The role focuses on safely operating excavators, graders, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and other heavy equipment to prepare and pave site work for projects.

You will work with grading and paving crews, perform routine equipment maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Training opportunities and competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of site excavation and/or paving experience.
• Valid in-state driver’s license preferred.
• Must be able to operate a variety of heavy equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate listed construction and power equipment safely.
• Assist grading or paving crews with stone, dirt, asphalt, or storm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
• Follow safety procedures and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Willing to train and cross-train for additional certifications.
