Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Excavation Equipment Operator in Ramseur, NC to operate excavating, backfilling, trenching, ditching, and grading with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with final site cleanup, and support a crew on utility projects. Overtime and travel may be required; background screening and post-offer checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience.
• 2-5 years in construction experience.
• Utility work experience preferred.
• Firm knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance.
• Must be willing to work overtime and travel.
• Background screening and drug-free workplace requirements.
• May be required to complete a post-offer physical and a site-specific background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery for excavating, backfilling, trenching, ditching, clearing.
• Looming, fine grading, and final cleanup as required.
• Backfill the ditch properly after the pipe is laid.
• Perform operator-level maintenance on the machine.
• Move trench boxes from the ditch.
• Perform laborer functions as required.
