Job summary

Smith-Rowe, LLC is seeking an Excavator/Heavy Equipment Operator in the Grading Department in North Carolina. The role involves moving mass earth in an off-road environment and requires a strong safety record.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, operating earth-moving machinery, minor repairs, and general site labor. 3–5 years’ experience and a HS diploma are preferred; relocation is required as stated in the posting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience preferred in heavy equipment operation.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of equipment for safety and defects.
• Operate/drive excavator and related heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade surfaces.
• May perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Perform general labor as needed on the site.
