Job summary

Oregon State University (OSU) is seeking part-time Proctors for the Disability Access Services (DAS) to administer exams for DAS students in a professional manner.

Proctors monitor testing center environments to ensure academic integrity and facilitate exam instructions by course instructors. Availability during finals week and adherence to policies are required.

Positions are on-campus, on-site with up to 24 hours per week, and require academic enrollment and meeting minimum enrollment standards.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
• High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program.
• Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term.
• Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high level of compliance to DAS Testing Center policies and procedures.
• Maintain cheerful and welcoming environment.
• Facilitate administration of exam per faculty instructions.
• Validate student ID prior to each exam.
• Implement assistive technology as needed.
• Willingness to assist students as a 1:1 scribe or reader as needed.
• Monitor the testing center environment, identifying potential academic integrity issues.
• Perform sanitizing of testing spaces, high touch areas, locker keys and pens.
• Facilitate delivery of completed exams on campus, as needed.
• Maintain up to date availability and demonstrate ability to be on time and ready for each scheduled shift.
