Job summary

Columbia State Community College is seeking a Proctoring Support Specialist to assist Testing Services on the Columbia, TN campus. The role involves proctoring exams (various tests), greeting visitors, handling inquiries, and performing clerical tasks while maintaining test records and supporting Website updates.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and ideally 1 year of Testing Services experience. Evening/weekend hours and potential travel may be required; salary range provided.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year Testing Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide proctoring support for exams (Accuplacer, HiSet, Graduation Exit Exam, ACT On-Campus, ACT National, PearsonVue, and proctored exams for Distance Education, TN eCampus, and special needs testing).
• Greet visitors, assess needs, and respond to information requests; make referrals as needed.
• Perform general clerical duties: manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle correspondence.
• Update Testing Services and main campus websites regularly.
• Maintain Testing Services database for appointments and score reporting.
• Assist Director in monthly reporting, calendar formation, and data collection/analysis.
• Ensure confidentiality of student records and accurate transfer of test scores to databases and transcripts.
• Create/update training manual for student workers.
• Maintain weekly staff off-campus calendar.
• Administer exams.
• Support development/oversight of programs to improve enrollment, progression, retention and graduation growth.
