Job summary

Crothall Healthcare seeks an Assistant Director to direct and lead the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. You will coordinate the tasks of the Operations Managers and serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments to provide the highest possible level of service.

This role requires establishing standards, planning work schedules, interviewing and supervising staff, conducting regular inspections, coordinating with other departments, budgeting, and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening, empathy and problem solving.
• Ability to manage staff, organize tasks, and develop budgets with understanding of facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, selects, hires, evaluates, and terminates staff per facility standards.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluations of the facility and suggests actions.
• Coordinates with other departments to plan and execute housekeeping activities.
• Schedules major project work and ensures staff and supplies are available.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
