Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Environmental Services to lead the Housekeeping Department in a healthcare setting. You will coordinate Operations Managers, serve as a liaison between hospital administration and departments, and provide the highest level of service.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong communication and budgeting skills, and a track record in healthcare housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of all housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff and to develop budgets with understanding of facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and procedures for Housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules, areas of work, and duties to ensure adequate services.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, and terminates housekeeping personnel as required.
• Orients, trains, and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular facility inspections and recommends actions.
• Conducts staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
