Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks an Assistant Director to support the Director of Environmental Services in directing the housekeeping department at our healthcare facility. You will coordinate operations, supervise managers, and serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities include setting standards, planning schedules, hiring and training staff, conducting audits, managing budgets, and communicating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of all housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in health care housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff participatively, handle stress, organize priorities, and develop budgets.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff in accordance with facility policies.
• Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, selects, hires, evaluates, and terminates housekeeping personnel.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluations of the facility and recommends action items.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and coordinates activities with other departments.
• Schedules major project work and ensures adequate staffing and supplies.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
