Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Environmental Services Equipment Specialist to support Kaiser Permanente Gaithersburg Medical Center in Gaithersburg, MD.

You will maintain, repair, and manage EVS equipment to ensure a clean and safe hospital environment. The role involves preventive maintenance, staff training on equipment usage, and collaboration with leadership to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to train others.
• Familiarity with safety standards related to EVS equipment.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair EVS equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
• Manage inventory of tools and parts and coordinate replacements.
• Train EVS staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot during shifts.
• Document maintenance schedules, repairs, and inventory levels and ensure safety compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime; collaborate with EVS leadership.
