Job summary

Xanitos is seeking an Environmental Services Equipment Specialist for the Kaiser Permanente Gaithersburg Medical Center in Gaithersburg, MD. You will maintain, repair, and manage EVS equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations across the facility.

You will train staff, track inventory, and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs, while upholding safety standards and documentation requirements. This role emphasizes reliability and proactive problem-solving in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on EVS equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, carpet cleaners).
• Track and manage equipment inventory and parts; stock replacements as needed.
• Train EVS staff on equipment use and maintenance; provide troubleshooting support during shifts.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory; ensure safety and manufacturer guidelines.
