The role supports the Director of Environmental Services in overseeing housekeeping operations and coordinating with hospital departments to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities include standardizing procedures, scheduling shifts, hiring and training staff, conducting inspections, and assisting with budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy skills.
• Ability to manage staff and budgets in a healthcare housekeeping context.
• Strong work ethic and initiative for quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and procedures for Housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, and terminates staff per facility standards.
• Orients, trains and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluates the facility and action items.
• Conducts staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Schedules major projects and ensures staffing and supplies.
• Manages inventories of housekeeping supplies and assists budgets.
