Job summary

King County Housing Authority (KCHA) seeks an Executive Vice President of Housing Operations/Chief Operating Officer to lead day-to-day operations for about 300 staff, guiding HUD-related compliance and shaping agency-wide strategic planning.

Reporting to the President/CEO, the EVP will oversee Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher Programs, Resident Services, Safety & Security and Compliance, while promoting an equitable and inclusive organizational culture and strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in housing operations and executive leadership.
• Ability to develop equitable, inclusive frameworks for diverse audiences.
• Strong communication and change-management skills.
• Proven track record with HUD regulations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, Resident Services and support units including Safety & Security and Compliance.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and prepare required reports.
• Lead strategy, staff management and community partnerships as a member of the executive team.
• Foster an inclusive culture and drive organizational performance.
