Job summary

Kett Engineering seeks an EVOC Triage Engineer to triage and resolve fleet issues across multiple locations. You will diagnose on-vehicle and dashboard data, document root causes, and coordinate with drivers, the workshop, and engineers to drive rapid problem resolution.

This on-site role in Palo Alto requires 5+ years in a fast-paced technical environment, strong vehicle systems knowledge, and EV experience. You will also manage OTA deployments and high-priority tickets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in a fast-paced technical environment (automotive/aerospace or hardware-testing preferred).
• High proficiency in Jira for ticket creation, workflow management, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of complex vehicle systems; EV experience is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage Issue Triage & Tracking: document, prioritize, and assign emerging problems; analyze trends.
• Investigate & Document: collect detailed logs and data; diagnose root causes.
• Facilitate Failure Analysis: create hardware issue tickets and route for analysis.
• Act as a Key Liaison: coordinate between drivers, workshop, and engineering teams.
• Maximize Fleet Uptime: manage fleet schedule and workshop tickets from inception to closure.
• Coordinate Vehicle Updates: oversee OTA software updates; manual flashing when needed.
