Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice preferred.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares evidence and property for storage or lab analysis.
• Secures and maintains long‑term storage of evidence per regulations.
• Researches cases for court judgement or disposal authorization; releases and disposes of evidence according to laws.
• Prepares and transports items requiring certified laboratory analysis to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab.
• Serves as liaison between courts and officers.
