Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is seeking a Property/Evidence Clerk to perform a range of working level technical clerical and administrative duties. You will support the processing, storage, retention, and destruction of evidence and property linked to law enforcement activities, under supervision of the Professional Standards and Logistics Bureau Sergeant.

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, inventories, controls, and disposes of evidence and property.
• Maintains records of all transactions and chain of custody.
• Performs packaging, labeling and transport of items to proper facilities.
• Testsify in legal proceedings and provide testimony when required.
• Maintain security of the evidence room and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with audits, inspections and inventory reconciliations.
