GEO Reentry Services LLC is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor to support education and treatment for individuals with drug and alcohol issues. You will conduct individual and group counseling, applying evidence-based What Works principles and documenting progress in the company database.

The role emphasizes coordination of intake and session scheduling, development of treatment plans, and collaboration with referral sources to support successful reintegration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time counseling experience with a criminal justice population.
• Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification preferred; NCCA 'Registered' status could be considered.
• Ability to interact professionally in individual and group counseling settings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish may be required; strong relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates substance abuse program across offices; schedules intakes, groups and individual sessions.
• Facilitates psycho-educational groups using What Works evidence-based practices.
• Develops and monitors individual treatment plans; tracks progress in the company database.
• Maintains participant records accurately and timely.
• Establishes relationships with outside referral sources and agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
