Job summary

GEO Reentry Services LLC is seeking an entry-level counselor to learn and implement Substance Abuse education and provide case management for residents to help achieve their planned goals.

You will participate in developing treatment outlines, maintaining records, and coordinating care while learning assessment methods and integrating results into resident plans. Training and supervision are provided by the program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred in social or human services.
• Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling within two years of employment.
• Experience providing human services functions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides case management of residents to coordinate services and resources.
• Learns to prepare and submit treatment and educational outlines, lectures, handouts and other materials.
• Maintains records and daily clinical charting.
• Learns to implement substance abuse and life skills assessments and integrate results into treatment plans.
• Participates in training and supervision activities.
• Assists in preparing schedules, reports or information for the program and management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in social or human services field preferred

Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling within two years of employment
