Job summary

John Scott House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Every Other Weekend Nursing Supervisor for Saturdays and Sundays. The role includes overseeing nursing staff, admissions, discharges, and coordinating family inquiries in a carefully staffed, patient-focused environment.

Located in Braintree, MA, the facility offers comprehensive weekend coverage with generous shift differentials and benefits. CPR-certified RNs or LPNs with long-term care experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid unencumbered RN or LPN license and CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience; minimum one year in long-term care; supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Manage staffing changes.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care.
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed.

Requirements for Every Other Weekend Nursing Supervisor:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN or RN State License and current CPR certification
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
