Job summary

The Bostonian Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Every Other Weekend Nurse Supervisor. The role will oversee nursing staff, manage admissions and discharges, and coordinate referrals within a supportive, team-based environment.

Must hold an MA RN/LPN license with CPR certification; RN is preferred. A nursing degree and two years of clinical experience, including long-term care, are required. Experience in supervision and rehabilitative nursing is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid unencumbered MA LPN/RN license and current CPR certification.
• Registered Nurse (preferred).
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience in hospital, nursing care center or related healthcare setting, with at least one year in long-term care.
• Experience in supervision and teaching; computer skills required.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Manage staffing changes.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care.
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed.

Requirements for Nursing Supervisor:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN/RN MA License and current CPR certification
• Registered Nurse (preferred)
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long-term care.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
