Job summary

Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is seeking an Events and Operations Associate for the Western Region in Los Angeles. You will support planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising and donor engagement events, ensuring detailed organization and alignment with FIDF’s mission.

Responsibilities include vendor coordination, guest management, on-site event support, and day-to-day operations across the Western Region, reporting to the Senior Director and collaborating with the

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in event planning, operations, or a similar role, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong project coordination and time-management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute fundraising events, including parlor meetings, donor events, galas, and regional activities.
• Maintain event checklists, schedules, and run-of-show documents.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and track follow-up items.
• Support vendor coordination: venues, caterers, AV, décor, photographers, transportation, printers, etc.
• Assist with guest registration, seating, nametags, and registration materials.
• Provide hands-on on-site support during events and post-event reconciliation.
• Support day-to-day administrative operations of the Western Region office.
