The Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort is seeking a Full Time Events Manager to lead planning and execution of a range of events. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external managers to ensure details are perfect, from intimate gatherings to large meetings, while driving catering sales and community presence.

Ideal candidate combines hospitality passion with strong communication, organization, and revenue-generation skills to elevate the property’s events program on Jekyll Island.

• Proven experience in event management or related field (1–2 years preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills for internal teams and clients.

Requirements

To thrive as the Full Time Events Manager at The Westin Jekyll Island, you'll need a diverse skill set that highlights your expertise in event management and coordination.

• High school diploma or GED; experienced (1 - 2 years of experience) in the event management or related professional area.

OR

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year experience in the event management or related professional area required.
• A strong background in catering sales paired with solid food and beverage knowledge will be essential for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with both internal teams and external partners, while your organizational skills will help keep all events running smoothly.
• Time management will be your best friend as you juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, allowing you to prioritize effectively. Bring your passion for hospitality and a knack for creating memorable moments, and you'll be well on your way to making a lasting impact in our vibrant community!
