Role Overview
The Events Manager will drive Evident's business objectives by leading the planning, execution, and optimization of events in the Americas region, including trade shows, marketing seminars, internal meetings, and customer-facing events. This role supports regional sales and marketing goals, ensures alignment with global strategies, and delivers impactful event experiences to drive ROI. It also involves supporting global strategy through knowledge sharing, best practices, and collaboration with regional leads to maintain consistent brand presence.
Job Duties
- Americas Regional Event Coordination & Management
- Plan and execute regional events such as trade shows, customer events, internal meetings, and seminars.
- Manage logistics, layouts, costs, staffing, and pre-show activities for seamless execution.
- Coordinate on-site operations and conduct post-event evaluations for continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with vendors, venues, and partners to optimize costs and quality.
- Internal Events and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support internal events like sales kickoffs, leadership meetings, and training sessions, aligning with business objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams on messaging and goals.
- Coordinate speaking engagements and presentations to enhance team engagement.
- Budgeting & Financial Management
- Manage regional event budgets, track spending, and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Review event requests for strategic fit and compliance with guidelines.
- Provide regular budget updates to leadership.
- Lead Management & Reporting
- Ensure trade show leads are entered into Salesforce for ROI analysis and follow-up.
- Track lead metrics and provide insights for improvement.
- Work with sales teams on lead follow-up and campaigns.
- Policy, Compliance, and Best Practices
- Implement and support policies and SOPs for event programs.
- Train teams on best practices and share insights across regions.
- Strategic Planning & Global Support
- Develop annual event plans for the Americas, supporting global initiatives.
- Align with global marketing leads and contribute to global event strategies and playbooks.
- Event Technology & Innovation
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions for lead capture and event management.
- Support digital event experiences as needed.
- Other Duties
- Contribute to other projects as assigned to support the organization’s success.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years in corporate or event marketing, preferably B2B; microscopy/scientific industry experience is a plus.
Skills
- Proven experience managing revenue-generating campaigns for events and digital channels.
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Effective collaboration across regional and global teams.
- Analytical skills for tracking and optimizing ROI.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management platforms.
- Adaptability, customer focus, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Considerations
Domestic and international travel approximately 25%.
