What you’ll do:
- Ensure compensation and benefits data is accurate, up-to-date, properly used in payroll, and clearly communicated to employees involved in event projects.
- Support recruitment and selection processes for event teams, ensuring compliance with Aggreko policies, including contractor sourcing, onboarding, and management aligned with event workforce plans.
- Lead the creation and optimization of project team structures specifically tailored to provide responsive HR support throughout the lifecycle of event projects
- Provide HR policy guidance and coaching to managers and colleagues working on events to ensure consistent, compliant application and adoption of systems like Workday
- Ensure local compliance with employment law, visa and immigration requirements, and Aggreko standards for event staff, including reviewing and updating employment contracts and screening processes
- Manage employee relations for event teams by providing guidance, conducting investigations, resolving complaints and grievances, and ensuring fair outcomes in collaboration with People Business Partners
- Participate in annual salary review processes and support the delivery of policy guidance, communications, and interpretation relevant to event workforce needs
- Collaborate with People Services teams to deliver efficient employee lifecycle services for event staff, including onboarding, data management, benefits administration, offboarding, and managing international assignment logistics and compliance related to event locations
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in HR or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience
- Strong service orientation with proven ability to build relationships across regional teams, PEOPLE, and business stakeholders, including working in diverse cultural and matrixed environments
- Experience in managing employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Proven support for operational teams throughout the employee lifecycle, with knowledge of workforce mobilization and contractor management, ideally in project or event settings
- Project management and continuous improvement skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach to driving initiatives to completion
- Fluent in English; additional business fluency in another relevant language is advantageous; willingness to travel frequently across Canada, the US, and Mexico; and flexibility to work extended or non-standard hours as needed
