Location: Wilson Hall, Wheelock Street, Hanover, NH

Position Purpose

House Manages, or supervises the House Management, of public events in the Hopkins Center. Responsible for on-site patron relations. Supports administrative functions of the Hopkins Center Events Office.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience.
  • One year of experience working on-site during live public events, providing access to patrons of all ages and abilities.
  • Two-plus years of administrative experience in an arts related setting; or the equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Regular nights and weekend at performing arts events.

  • On site Events Manager, supervising Student House Managers, Student Head Ushers, and Volunteer (Community) Ushers at live and film events.
  • Uses FileMaker, Microsoft Word, Excel, and specialized ticketing software (AudienceView) to support administrative functions of the office (scheduling; database entry and monitoring; tracking and reporting sales data).
  • Working with Dartmouth Computing, assists in the transition and training needed for planned upgrade of Volunteer Usher website platform.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
