Job summary

The UConn Foundation seeks an Assistant Director of Events to plan and execute fundraising and alumni events, overseeing budgets, timelines, vendor contracts, invitations, RSVPs, sponsorships, and volunteer committees. This role directly enhances donor engagement and stewardship across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure flawless event execution, manage registrations and communications, and report outcomes using data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years direct experience in planning high quality, impactful events.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite and donor management systems/CRM.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute events start to finish, including budgets, timelines, vendor contracts, invitations, RSVPs, sponsorships, and volunteer committees.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal staff, leadership, and external constituents.
• Collaborate with colleagues across levels to ensure consistent event delivery within Foundation policies.
• Manage event registration data, nametags, pre-event communications, and post-event reconciliation.
• Capture and report event data using data tools and dashboards.
