Job summary

The College of Charleston is seeking a working Lead Maintenance Shop Supervisor to manage a heavy workload in general maintenance, moving and event prep. You will supervise crew leaders and maintenance trades specialists, evaluate job needs, place orders, and track costs using Maintenance Direct.

Minimum requirement is a high school diploma with at least two years in maintenance or construction; supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2 years experience in maintenance or construction.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise crews and prioritize work orders.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid S.C. driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance crew leaders and trades specialists in the Maintenance Shop.
• Plan, assign, and supervise work orders; monitor progress and cost.
• Coordinate with supervisor and Deputy Director on timely completion of work orders.
• Perform administrative tasks using Maintenance Direct.
• Be available weekends, after hours, and during emergencies as needed.
