Job summary

Charleston County Government is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to plan, supervise and coordinate a wide range of maintenance, repairs and projects within the county's Facilities Management department, under the direction of the Trades Technician Supervisor.

The role includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry, and entails administrative duties with work order systems and procurement; after-hours on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) required; technical school diploma or an Associate's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in the commercial building trades.
• Minimum of 5+ years in a building maintenance environment; references required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises and coordinates a wide range of maintenance, repairs and projects within Charleston County Facilities Management.
• Maintains HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry; ensures safety and compliance with codes.
• Assists with administrative duties such as work order management, project management and procurement processes; provides occupant support when supervisor is unavailable.
