Job summary

WWAY-TV is seeking a motivated Event Account Executive to drive revenue through sales of WWAY events, sponsorships, and integrated promotional opportunities. You will collaborate with News and Sales teams to identify prospects, develop customized packages, and grow revenue from events, community initiatives, and special programs.

The role involves prospecting, presenting packages, and closing deals while maintaining relationships with sponsors and partners in the Wilmington/Cape Fear area.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of sales, advertising, sponsorship, or business development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell sponsorships for WWAY events, expos, programs and promotions.
• Prospect new businesses and expand existing WWAY accounts.
• Develop and present customized sponsorship packages.
• Meet or exceed event revenue goals.
• Maintain an active pipeline and close business.
• Convert sponsors into long-term WWAY advertisers.
