The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time Setup Technician to prepare venues for events. You will set up chairs, tables, flooring, and related equipment, and perform light maintenance as needed.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, operate a forklift when certified, and coordinate with event managers and staff to ensure smooth setups and timely restorations after events.

Qualificações

• Minimum of one (1) year related knowledge, experience, and skills in similar position.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Trade or technical school training in related discipline preferred.
• Valid State of Alabama Driver License preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Set up chairs, tables, flooring and equipment for events.
• Clean and organize equipment rooms and storage areas.
• Transport equipment using forklift and other machinery.
• Load and unload trucks and vehicles.
• Cooperate with staff to perform related duties as required.
• Follow verbal and written setup instructions clearly to internal/external departments.
• Maintain clear communication and be able to listen and respond professionally.
• Document and maintain records related to repairs and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain positive relationships with event staff, managers, and vendors to ensure seamless setups.
