Job summary

Proper Hospitality's The Shelborne Miami Beach seeks a Banquet Houseperson to support the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring spaces meet specifications and guests have a seamless experience. You will work with banquet and event teams to arrange tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and equipment, keep spaces tidy, and assist with service during events.

A high school diploma is preferred; schedule includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a banquet or event setting preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of basic event setup and breakdown practices preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up banquet spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and other event items as per banquet orders.
• Ensure equipment and furniture are arranged per specifications and returned after events.
• Break down and clean banquet spaces, returning furniture and equipment to storage and ensuring spaces are tidy.
