Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Setup Houseperson to prepare and break down banquet spaces, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for events. You will handle tables, chairs, linens, and AV gear, maintaining orderly storage and assisting with room turnover.

Role requires physical tasks, attention to detail, and dependable teamwork. This is an on-site position at our Miami location with benefits and gratuities support.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and writing and mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform the following: handling, carrying or lifting items up to 100 pounds.
• Moving about the function areas and bending, stooping, kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and/or break-down tables, chairs, audio visual equipment and platforms/stages as required.
• Set-up table linens, skirting and table top items.
• Clean, store and secure all tables, chairs and equipment used for banquet functions.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms and storage areas.
• Inspect equipment and report damages to Supervisor.
• Refresh room during breaks and replenish supplies.
• Retrieve clean linen and stock in storage areas.
• Deliver boxes and materials for functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
