The Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa is seeking an Event Set-Up Houseperson to efficiently set up, break down, and maintain all event spaces. The role covers meeting rooms, banquet halls, and outdoor areas to match each event’s specifications, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Afternoon, evening and occasional overnight shifts are required. The position offers an hourly rate of $14.15 plus a portion of service charges from events.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in event setup or similar role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and the occasional overnight shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment.
• Ensure all event areas are clean, organized, and ready for use.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Event Coordinator.

Summary

This role ensures that all meeting rooms, banquet halls, and outdoor event areas are prepared according to the specifications of each event, providing a seamless and exceptional experience for our guests.

Afternoon, evening and occasional over-night availability is required for this role. This position receives a portion of service charges from Events in addition to the hourly rate of $14.15.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in event setup or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and the occasional overnight shift.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.
