Job summary

Hyatt Regency Austin on the shores of Lady Bird Lake invites applications for an Event Set-Up Houseperson to join our Banquets/Events team. You will prepare and break down meeting spaces, arrange tables and chairs, and ensure water and amenities are available for events.

This is a fast-paced role requiring physical stamina and clear communication. Open availability including afternoons, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Open availability including afternoons, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Related experience in hotels, convention centers or warehouses is preferred.
• Good communication and comprehension skills.
• Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift a moderate amount of weight.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down meeting spaces with tables, chairs, water, and supplies.
• Ensure spaces are ready for events and assist with edge-case requests.

The Event Set-Up Houseperson is primarily responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, push and pull moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position.

Open availability including Afternoons, Evenings, Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays is required for this position.
