Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking an Event Staff member in The Arena District, Columbus, OH. This part-time, event-based role involves greeting customers, directing traffic, assisting in lobbies and parking offices, and processing payments. The job requires strong customer service, the ability to lift equipment, and a willingness to work outdoors in variable weather.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers by name, respond promptly and build rapport.
• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and the parking office; help direct traffic.
• Lift equipment and set up for events both inside and outside.
• Direct entry and exit for customers at parking facilities and lots.
• Provide premier customer service with a friendly demeanour and responsive attitude.
• Process payments (monthly and debit) and credit cards.
• Must work with or without supervision.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Report any malfunctioning parking equipment to management.

Rate: $20.00

Hours: Part-time, event-based schedule

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $100

Referral Bonus: $100

The Spirit Of The Position

The Event Staff employee greets and creates a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients.

Principal Job Duties

• Greet by/use name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.


• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office; help direct traffic.


• Lifting equipment and setting up for events both inside and outside event spaces.


• Flag customers into parking facilities and surfaces lots creating a simple and effective entrance and exit for customers.


• Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.


• Accept monthly and debit payments and process credit cards.


• Must work with or without supervision.


• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.


• Communicate any malfunctioning parking equipment to ensure appropriate access to management.


• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements Experience

• Strong customer service experience.


• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.


• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.


• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.


• Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
