Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking Event Staff for outdoor, part-time assignments at the Arena District venues in Columbus. You will greet customers, assist in lobby areas, direct traffic, and help set up for events both inside and outside.

Responsibilities also include handling payments, promoting excellent service, and working with or without supervision. The role requires strong customer service experience and a willingness to work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers by name and resolve inquiries promptly with a courteous attitude.
• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and parking offices; direct traffic as needed.
• Set up for events indoors and outdoors; lift and move equipment.
• Guide vehicles into facilities and manage entrances/exits.
• Maintain premier customer relations with a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Process monthly and debit payments; handle credit card transactions.
• Work with or without supervision.
• Assist with cashiering duties as needed.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment to management to ensure access.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Spirit Of The Position

The Event Staff employee greets and creates a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients.

Principal Job Duties

• Greet by/use name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office; help direct traffic.
• Lifting equipment and setting up for events both inside and outside event spaces.
• Flag customers into parking facilities and surfaces lots creating a simple and effective entrance and exit for customers.
• Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
• Accept monthly and debit payments and process credit cards.
• Must work with or without supervision.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Communicate any malfunctioning parking equipment to ensure appropriate access to management.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements Experience

• Strong customer service experience.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
