Job summary

Sam Houston Race Park Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic Event Services Associate to help plan, coordinate, set up, execute, and breakdown events.

You will ensure the venue is event-ready, smooth operations, and guests receive a professional, welcoming experience. Work closely with the Event Services Manager and Operations Director to support logistics, venue prep, equipment setup, safety inspections, and on-site support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in event services, hospitality, facilities, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to read and follow event layouts, written instructions, and operational plans.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and live racing days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, configuration, and breakdown of event spaces and equipment.
• Prepare venues according to floor plans and client specs.
• Conduct pre-event inspections for cleanliness and readiness.
• Support live racing events, private functions, and corporate events.
• Maintain event spaces and equipment in safe, orderly condition.
• Provide on-site support to ensure schedules and plans are followed.
• Coordinate event logistics and communicate setup changes to teams.
• Respond promptly to client and vendor requests and resolve issues.
