Job summary

The Highlands at Dove Mountain is seeking an Event Services Specialist to support the banquet and events team in preparing function rooms for meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events.

You will set up tables, chairs, linens, staging, and AV equipment, ensuring rooms are clean, organized, and ready for guests. The role requires excellent customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet, hospitality, or event setup experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event orders and floor plans.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, and décor as directed.
• Transport and set up audiovisual equipment and other event materials.
• Ensure banquet rooms are clean, organized, and ready before each event.
• Respond promptly to last-minute event changes and guest requests.
• Assist banquet servers during events by replenishing supplies and removing used equipment.
• Move furniture and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain storage areas and keep banquet equipment clean and organized.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Work closely with banquet managers and other departments to ensure successful events.
• Follow Highlands policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
