Proof of the Pudding is seeking experienced Cook(s) to support the premium culinary team at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. This part-time role covers pre-event prep, event-day service, and post-event cleanup for football, basketball, and other games.

You will work under the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring high-quality food and safe kitchen practices while delivering outstanding guest experiences at stadium venues.

Proof of the Pudding is the premier provider of Food & Beverage for University of Georgia sporting events.

Cook(s) are needed to assist the premium culinary department at University of Georgia. This position will aid the culinary execution of game day catering for football, basketball, baseball, and more including pre-event prep, event day execution, and post-event clean up. The position will report to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in their kitchen.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining the highest level of food quality with your culinary team.
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas.
  • Maintaining the highest level of service, safety, and food quality for each event
  • Running food on game-days, assisting in the organization of menu items according to BEOs and event information
  • Preparing items according to a recipe
  • Cleaning and organization of kitchen equipment and product
  • Assisting the culinary management team in all assigned tasks
  • Performs other related duties as needed.
QualificationsEducation, Specialized Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Must live near Athens, GA
  • Must be available for the majority of UGAevent days
  • Experience working in a kitchen or stadium is preferred
  • Capable of producing a consistent product in a high volume and timely manner.
  • Must be a phenomenal team player.
Specialized Skills:
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to follow a recipe precisely and in high volume
Work Environment

This position will be stationed out of University of Georgia. This position will spend the majority of time in the kitchen working with typical kitchen equipment including knives, electrical mixers, ovens, hot pans, and more.

Uniform Requirements

Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines. Non-slip shoes are necessary.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through a kitchen space, and traveling to different venues across greater Atlanta
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
