Job summary

Up to Par Management, LLC is seeking friendly, upbeat servers who can welcome guests and keep their cool when the dining room is busy. You will assist with seating, explain menus, take orders, and ensure accurate, appealing presentation of every plate.

Responsibilities include open/ pour of wine, complying with West Virginia liquor laws, managing payments, and maintaining guest satisfaction through dessert. Priorities include teamwork, professionalism, and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in serving or hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of state liquor laws and ID checks.
• Ability to multitask during busy shifts.
• Excellent customer service and a professional appearance.
• Clear communication with guests from diverse backgrounds.

• Clear and reset tables and assist with front-of-house duties.
• Resolve guest concerns with good judgment and involve a manager when needed.
• Support teammates and lend a hand as required.

Great food is only half of a great experience. The other half is the person who serves it. We’re looking for friendly, upbeat servers who love making guests feel welcome and can keep their cool when the room is full.

Pay: $3.00/hr +tips/gratuities

What you’ll do

• Welcome guests, help with seating and walk them through the menu and daily specials
• Take food and drink orders accurately, answer menu questions and send orders to the kitchen and bar
• Check every plate for accuracy and presentation before it goes out
• Open and pour wine and champagne, and follow all WV liquor laws, including checking IDs
• Keep drinks filled and guests happy from the first course through dessert
• Handle payments, make change and issue receipts
• Clear and reset tables, answer the phone and help out with closing clean-up
• Resolve guest concerns with good judgment and know when to bring in a manager
• Help your teammates whenever they need a hand

What we’re looking for

• Restaurant experience is preferred
• Knowledge of state liquor laws, and the judgment to know when a guest has had enough
• Organized and able to juggle priorities during busy shifts
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional appearance
• Able to communicate easily with people from all backgrounds
• Bilingual skills are a plus
