Compass Group USA is seeking a full-time Guest/Event Sales Agent in Newark, NJ at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. The role requires prior sales experience and supports the event sales team with materials, BEO reviews, and on-site event coordination. Hours are 40 per week with a pay rate of $20–$24 per hour.

Responsibilities include creating menus and floorplans, maintaining event records, and assisting with client meetings and tastings in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience is required.
• Candidate should be able to provide administrative and coordination support for the event sales team.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and coordination support for the event sales team, including client materials, event documentation, and internal event resources.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Front of House notes, and event details to ensure accuracy prior to execution.
• Prepare and organize event materials such as menus, signage, floorplans, buffet cards, and meeting documents.
• Maintain SharePoint files, sales resources, event records, and assist with purchase orders and client payment documentation.
• Support client meetings, site tours, tastings, and event preparation while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
