Job summary

Major League Baseball is seeking an Intern in Event Planning to assist daily administrative tasks and event preparations at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, FL. You will help coordinate housing, meals, and spaces, work with teams and internal departments, and support hotel and front desk activities for the complex.

The role emphasizes organization, communication, and flexibility, with opportunities to engage in planning for youth-focused events and non-athletic inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college program enrollment preferred (Hospitality, Event Planning, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related).
• Experience with MS Office and Google Workspace; Canva is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily administrative tasks and event planning for athletic and non-athletic groups.
• Communicate arrival/departure details, housing, meals, and requests to the team and internal departments.
• Coordinate facility needs for non-Spring Training groups (housing, meals, meeting space, logistics).
• Help collect and organize Spring Training documentation (waivers, insurance, tax exemption forms, agreements).
• Assist with tours for prospective clients, focusing on non-athletic events and revenue opportunities.
• Support Front Desk operations, check-ins, guest services, and department communications as needed.
