Job summary

Encore seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead floor operations for events in a hotel/convention center environment. You will supervise a technical team to ensure timely equipment setup, smooth event flow, and high client satisfaction.

You will train staff on venue standards and Encore service expectations, manage scheduling and safety, and coordinate with venue management to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 3-5 year of audio-visual experience is required.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements per Encore’s program.
• External applicants must meet/validate and complete all required trainings within 60 days.
• Knowledge of technical theory.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading workflow and team members.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for vehicle operation.
• Additional DOT requirement may apply.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Organizes daily floor activities for timely setup, refresh and removal of equipment.
• Directs workflow of technicians and assists with labor needs and scheduling.
• Participates in crew scheduling with venue management and Workforce.
• Ensures flowsheets are updated and communication for events is coordinated.
• Attends venue meetings and ensures compliance with standards.
• Trains technicians on floor activities and Encore standards.
• Mentors new hires and guides technician career journey.
• Manages event technology setup, operation and breakdown; troubleshoots issues.
