Job summary

REV Sports Management seeks a Venue Operations Lead to guide part-time and contract staff across event setup, AV, lighting, and safety for the ballpark. You will train teams, coordinate conversions, and ensure equipment is maintained and configured to SOPs.

Responsibilities include reviewing daily tasks, inventory checks, data collection on venue metrics, and collaboration with other departments. The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Business, Hospitality, Communications, Sports Management or related field (may be substituted for work experience).
• Minimum of 2 years’ venue operations experience and/or supervising staff at a similar facility.
• Experience with venue set-ups and material handling equipment.
• Experience with audio, video, and lighting systems preferred.
• Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CAD and other computer software skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to multi-task at a high level of detail across multiple projects.
• Able to work well within a team environment; provide assistance to team members.
• Able to work irregular hours including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays; possible 24/7 call.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills; able to meet timelines.
• Adaptable to changes and multi-client environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead part-time and contract workers in daily, pre-event, event and post-event conversion and provide hands-on training.
• Maintain equipment and schedule regular preventative maintenance.
• Set building configurations per SOP; proficient in construction and placement of stages, furniture, and reading AutoCAD drawings.
• Set and strike portable sound systems, microphones, projectors, and lighting equipment.
• Review tasks and schedules daily to ensure clear requirements before work begins.
• Assist with training programs, purchasing, scheduling staff, and documenting performance.
• Inspect and keep inventory of conversion equipment and tools; report deficiencies.
• Assist in implementing conversion standards to maintain a positive image for the ballpark.
• Set, run, and strike audio/visual equipment for events and internal needs.
• Perform set-up tasks independently.
• Complete comprehensive conversion checklists ensuring safety and proper conditions.
• Assist in data collection and analysis of metrics related to Venue Ops, Guest Services, and Security.
• Assist other REV Departments as needed.
• Knowledge of safety equipment, standards, systems and OSHA guidelines.
• Receive supervision from the Director of Operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
