Job summary

Curate Group is seeking an Event Operations Manager for Lumos Experiences in Washington DC. You will lead the successful delivery of live events across venues, owning planning, coordination, safety and on-brand execution.

This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can coach teams, manage budgets and maintain high standards. You may attend shows to ensure quality and drive continuous improvement as Lumos expands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event operations, production or management.
• Ability to motivate a team and uphold high standards.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Budget management experience.
• Driving license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Event Operations: manage delivery across Washington DC region.
• Venue Management: maintain venue catalogue, liaise on advance sheets and safety docs.
• Staff Recruitment, Scheduling & Training: lead weekend recruitment and onboarding.
• Musician & Production Coordination: coordinate with Musician Booker and production teams.
• Standardize processes across shows to drive consistency.
• Budget & Inventory Management: manage resources and logistics.
• Field Presence & Quality Control: attend shows monthly and during training/launches.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: post-event reports and KPI analysis.
• Special Event & Venue Preparation: manage permits, vendor docs, compliance.
• Coordinate Venue Insurance Requirements: COIs and permits compliance.
