Job summary

Encore Global is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead floor operations, oversee a technical team, and ensure smooth event setup, service quality, and operational efficiency across venues in Chicago.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with management, and uphold Encore Service Standards while managing equipment, safety, and security during events, with a focus on guest satisfaction and on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 3–5 years of audio-visual experience is required.
• External applicants must meet/validate and complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Organizes daily floor activities for timely setup, refresh, and removal of equipment.
• Directs technicians and suggests operational efficiencies to venue management.
• Ensures flowsheets are updated and properly completed.
• Maintains excellent client relationships through effective on-site communication and service standards.
• Trains technicians on floor activities and Encore’s service and operational standards.
• Oversees setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment; troubleshoots issues quickly.
