Museum of Science in Boston is seeking an Events Support Associate to assist with on-site event coordination. You’ll help ensure client expectations are met, follow museum policies, and document post-event details. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year or more of event coordination experience.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and function when working in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Event Operations: Works as a contributing team member, under the on-site direction & guidance of the Lead Function Coordinator.
  • Prepare Event Spaces: Sets necessary signage, parking validator, coat check tags (as needed), etc. to help welcome guests.
  • Monitor Event Execution: Stays proactive & vigilant throughout the event to communicate any problems/challenges that arise to the Lead.
  • Support Guest Safety: Oversees arrival, movement & departure of guests to ensure safety.
