Job summary

Event Manager, Culinary, Philanthropic & Corporate

Location: New York City

Karlitz & Company is seeking a dynamic Event Manager, Culinary, Philanthropic & Corporate to support the planning and execution of high-profile events and experiential programs. This role spans culinary experiences, philanthropic events, corporate activations, and elevated dining experiences, blending client service, strategic thinking, and hands-on event production.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in the culinary and hospitality worlds. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior team members, build client and partner relationships, and contribute to exceptional event experiences from concept through completion.

What You’ll Do
Account Management
  • Support client and partner relationships, including clients, chefs, restaurants, sponsors, and vendors
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients and vendors, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-up
  • Support client communications and partner calls as needed
  • Assist with on-site event operations, including chef coordination, sponsor relations, guest experience, and branded activations
  • Contribute to post-event recaps, budget reconciliation, and other deliverables
  • Help ensure a positive client experience through strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
Event Production
  • Assist in planning and executing culinary, philanthropic, and corporate experiential events
  • Support budgets, contracts, vendor coordination, and event logistics
  • Coordinate with venues and vendors on production, design, rentals, staffing, and other event needs
  • Participate in site visits as needed
  • Develop and maintain event materials, including menus, guest itineraries, production schedules, run-of-shows, and recap decks
  • Support on-site event execution, including setup, breakdown, registration, hospitality, and guest experience
Business Development
  • Support the development of proposals and pitch decks featuring culinary talent and experiential concepts
  • Participate in pitch meetings and contribute ideas for new event concepts
  • Assist with developing materials that showcase Karlitz & Company’s capabilities and expertise
Skills & Qualifications
  • 3–4 years of experience in event planning, production, experiential marketing, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, partners, and internal teams
  • Experience working with chefs, restaurants, or hospitality brands is a plus
  • Basic understanding of budgets, contracts, and event logistics
  • Creative thinker with a genuine interest in food, wine, spirits, and experiential events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with project management tools is a plus
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree
