HBC Event Services is a growing housing company for sports events throughout the US and internationally. We are looking for an Event manager to provide reliable and organized support to our clients.
The ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers. Responsible for assigned client events, contracting hotels, processing call-in hotel reservations, working with teams/hotels, preparing reports, managing hotel inventory, and all other hotel-related event services.
This individual requires the ability to work well under pressure, checks the accuracy of information before using or passing on to others, impeccable attention to detail, outstanding organizational and follow-up skills - strong sense of urgency, possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, ability to understanding workflow process for maximum output, understands how to separate and combine tasks to increase workflow efficiency, practices attentive and active listening, flexible and adaptable, drives for results, demonstrates good follow-through on information and project status.
Other necessary proficiencies include effective communication skills, both written and oral. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, while knowledge of Google Workspace, is a plus. This individual should also be sports-oriented, demonstrate a desire to learn and grow, and offer ideas and suggestions to streamline event processes.
Hospitality experience is required (1 year minimum). This individual will typically work Monday to Friday, some additional hours as needed, and approximately 4 working Saturdays (with weekend emergency line) will be required per year.
