Position Summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House, a beloved brand for over 50 years, is an institution and the starting point for Prime Hospitality Group. Our mission is to deliver the best steakhouse experience. Whether guests dine with us for a romantic dinner or a business event, we aim to provide the highest quality service.

The Private Dining & Events Manager, under the direction of the General Manager or Manager-on-Duty, is responsible for booking high volumes of repeat catering and private dining events, as well as pursuing off-site catering opportunities. This role involves coordinating event details, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining communication with guests and staff to deliver exceptional service. The role also includes networking and promoting the brand within the community.

Essential Job Functions

  • Adhere to all company and Ruth’s Chris operating guidelines, standards, policies, procedures, and PHG Values.
  • Maintain professionalism, a clean uniform, and good personal hygiene during all shifts.
Passion for Hospitality
  • Monitor private events to ensure excellence, greet guests, oversee event execution, and assist to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure additional items provided outside the contract are accurately charged.
  • Address guest complaints promptly to maintain confidence and loyalty.
  • Build relationships with repeat clients and prospect new business, following up post-event to ensure satisfaction.
Hunger to Grow
  • Actively seek private event business from various sources, including cold calls and managing inquiries.
  • Participate in staff meetings and stay informed on menu offerings, industry trends, and local events.
Unwavering Commitment
  • Coordinate with management and kitchen staff to ensure smooth event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage event details, including reservations, setup, and menu finalization.
Desire to Win
  • Develop sales budgets and marketing plans to increase private dining and catering sales.
  • Track sales performance, analyze results, and implement strategies to meet goals.
  • Promote the restaurant locally through networking and community involvement.
Physical Demands
  • Operate POS systems, carry trays, lift supplies up to 35 pounds, and stand/walk for entire shifts.
  • Maintain physical agility to reach, bend, and perform related tasks.
  • Hear well in noisy environments.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least one year of private event sales experience in a fine dining setting.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, customer focus, financial acumen, and cultural sensitivity skills.
  • Willingness to complete restaurant training and continuous learning.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or Marketing.
Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
